Hi guys, i have a student question relating to a assignment im a bit stuck on.
My brief is to advise the client on the different methods of procurement available along with the associated contract types and contract forms. There are 2 parts to the assignment, a new build department store and a renovation, the client is to be advised on 2 procurement methods, 2 contract types and 2 contract forms for each scenario.
My problem is with the contract types. I understand that with traditional procurement the types of contract are cost reimbursment, cost plus fixed fee, measurement etc, however im not sure about D&B and management contract types.
My question is, are D&B and management contracts defined the same way as traditional, as in cost reimbsement, or is there something i have completley missed? When i search for this i simply arrive at the different standard forms.
Thankyou in advance for any help,
Jay
Hi folks, can someone give me a clue please.
My Gas man recently visited one of my properties to service the back boiler, fire and a cooker in a property I let.
He has condemed the fire because the tap is leaking ( which is fair enough on the face of it )
However , he is now telling me that he can not repair or replace the tap ?????
Now to a layman ( in gas terms atleast ) this seems ludicrous. Ok he may not be able to repair the tap, he may not be able to buy a matching one, but surely another tap can be installed instead ( with or without some pipe modifications )
Is he right or is he just conning me for a new wall mounted boiler ? c £4.6k
Many thanks
David
