Hey, I’m yet another student seeking help haha. This report is about Services in buildings, I’m nearly through it and then I hit a stumbling block… This is the question:

Lecturers Brief Wrote:2. Produce a services schedule within any four different use spaces plus circulation space in the building, identifying whether the following services are required and if so, in what form:

-Heating
-Ventilation
-Electrical Power
-Water supply

The smug lecturer has to use a phrase unknown to me, and not common on the internet or text books  … Is a services schedule a part of a preventative/scheduled maintenance plan? Whereby it’s documented/logged when and how frequently the services will be tested or serviced?

In a tutorial sheet of mine, it says this:

Tutorial Sheet Wrote:Services work is carried out by sub-contractors – need to ensure that services don’t overlap as part of the design (e.g. electrical sockets above a sink etc.)

Who else will require the schedule? Design Co-ordinator of the services input; estimating and design department of each sub-contractor; client; buyer(s); Safety File…

Schedule per room and per service to ensure such contradictions do not occur

This is where the confusion has came… I’m probably pissing in the wind here… Just though I’d give it a shot.
